Supernatural Fan Art

Howdy!

Today over at the Make My Monday challenge blog. We have a NEW challenge it's to Use a Digital Stamp.

For these cards, I printed them out onto Neenah Bright White Premium Cardstock. I get mine from Office Depot. It's not the quality of paper to create a card with but it works great for printing out digital stamps. As for coloring them in, I used my colored pencils and blended with baby oil. Then I fussy cut the images out. As for the backgrounds, I used my stencils and Amazon makeup brushes. The stencils I used didn't fit on the card base. So I used Post-Its to cover up the areas I wasn't stenciling at the time. When the stenciling was done, I used black marker to cover up any areas that didn't look finished after I fussy cut. Then I used 3M foam tape to pop the images up.

Stamps: Kindred Stamps Demon Hunters
Paper: CTMH Kraft
Ink: CTMH Sapphire

Always Here For You

Howdy!

I am so excited because today is my start as a Design Team member of the Color My Heart Color Dare team. The  new challenge is to get inspiration from this color wheel picture. And to keep it in a single gradient of colors. So if you pick the color pink as I did you would go light,  medium and dark pink.

If you are a regular follower of my blog, I know this card is a little outside of my regular style. I'm experimenting right now. Let me know what you think of my experiment. I'm thinking I should ease up a little on the ink splotching. But that it does in general look cool.

Stamps: Altenew Painted Rose
Paper: CTMH White Daisy
Ink: CTMH Intense Black, Ballerina, Pixie, Raspberry, New England Ivy, Fern, Sweet Leaf
Accessories: FolkArt Metallic Pure Gold Acrylic Paint, M. Graham & Co. Ivory Black Acrylic

Today's card is also being entered into the following challenges:
Lil Patch of  Crafty Friends Challenge #130

Happy Birthday Drink

Howdy!

Today's card is being entered into the following challenges:
Create A Smile We dare you to create a smile : Mood board
Lil Patch of  Crafty Friends Challenge #130

Today is the 14th day I am participating in The Daily Marker 30 Day Challenge! I have found it to be great motivation to work on my coloring. Have you had a chance to play along?

This card is created around a freebie digital stamp by Create A Smile. After printing the digital stamp. I brought out my Amazon makeup brush to apply distress ink to the drink part of the cup image. As for the umbrella and fruit, I used colored pencils on that. (Link to watching how I use colored pencils and blend.) I then fussy cut the image out and popped it up with 3M foam tape. After that I brought out my water bottle and spritzed the drink. And used a paper towel to clean up the water. This created a condensation and more of an actual drink-y look to the image. I then stamped the Happy Birthday sentiment under the cup.

Stamps: Create A Smile Freebie Lemonade, SU Party Pandas
Paper: CTMH White Daisy
Ink: CTMH Archival Black, Tim Holtz Distress Ink Mustard Seed, Lucky Clover, Candied Apple, Spiced Marmalade
Accessories: Prismacolor Premier Ginger Root, Imperial Violet, Cobalt Turquoise, Parma Violet, Muted Turquoise, Amazon Makeup Brush, Fantastix

Sweet Rainbow Hello

Howdy!

Today's card is being entered into the following challenges:
Your Next Stamp Challenge #137 – Stripes
Inkspirational Challenge #211 - Paint Splatters
Through The Craft Room DoorAnything Goes Challenge April 21st 2020
Arty Divas Challenge #20
Lemon Shortbread Challenge #118: Anything Goes

Have you had a chance to play along in The Daily Marker 30 Day Challenge? Today is the 12th day I am participating in challenge! I have found it to be great motivation to work on my coloring.

For today's card I started out by stamping this cute little skunk. I then used colored pencils to color him in. (If you would like to see how I use colored pencils visit HERE.) When that was done I fussy cut him out. Before laying him onto the card I stamped the background. I used the Hero Arts Brush stamp set to create a rainbow stripe. For each time that I stamped the ink, I then took my water bottle and sprayed it before stamping it down. I feel like it gives it more of a watercolor effect than stamping alone would have done. After I put the cute stamp onto the green stripe, I then brought out my marker to draw a shadow effect underneath. To finish the card off I stamped the sentiment and then die cut it.

Stamps: YNS Woodland Cuties, HA Brush
Paper: CTMH White Daisy, Black, Canson XL Watercolor
Ink: CTMH Intense Black, Candy Apple, Poppy, Lemon, Willow, Carolina, Pansy
Accessories: MFT Stitched Sentiment Strips Die-namics , Spectrum Noir Triblend Dull Green, Fantastix, Prismcolor Premier Blush Pink, 90% Warm Grey, 70% Warm Grey, 10% Warm Grey, Deco Peach

Howdy!

I hope y'all can play along with us at the Cardz4Guys challenge blog. This week's challenge is #243 Use Dies as Your Main Feature.

With all the craziness going on in the world. Let us all remember that last week was Easter and that He lives. And because He lives, we live. Although right now is horrible and most of us are stuck at home He knows us and loves us. This card would be perfect for a missionary or anyone who believes in Him.

For today's card, I started out by grabbing my die cut. And taking a scrap of white cardstock and painting it. Then I ran the scrap through my Xyron. Finally, I ran the painted scrap with the die through my die cutting machine.

Next, I brought out a stencil, makeup brush, ink and Post-It tape. I taped off half of the card front and stenciled through it. Then I removed both the stencil and Post-It tape and repeated on the opposite side. When that was done, I brought out my stamp and ink and stamped onto the card front. Finally, I glued the front of the card onto the cardbase.

Stamps: Stampabilities Palm of His Hand
Paper: CTMH White Daisy
Ink: CTMH Lemonade
Accessories: Amazon makeup brush, Yasatomo Pearlescent Watercolor Set, Tim Holtz Rays Layering Stencil, Xyron, Spellbinders Shapeabilities Crosses Two

Clever Bowlers

Howdy!

Today's card is being entered into the following challenges:
Art Impressions Challenge #280 Kid at Heart
Simon Says: Knock On Wood
STAMPlorations April Stencil Challenge
Arty Divas Challenge #20
Lemon Shortbread Challenge #118: Anything Goes

Have you had a chance to play along in The Daily Marker 30 Day Challenge? Today is the 11th day I am participating in challenge! I have found it to be great motivation to work on my coloring.

For today's card I started out by stamping onto both the card base and some ROCK label paper. I then fussy cut the bowler babes from the ROCK label to create a removal paper mask. The coloring was done with a mix of alcohol markers and colored pencils. (You can see the way I blend my colored pencils in THIS video.) When that was done I put the label paper over the babes. I covered the bottom of the card with Post-It tape to create a division between the top of the card and the bottom.  And then I brought out a stencil and Amazon makeup brush to create the background. The bottom was created when I moved the Post-It tape up to where the stenciling had been done. Then I took the Almond ink pad and swiped it along the bottom of the card. After that I then brought out my T-square and a sharpie to draw lines over the swiped area of the card. This creates the illusion of the bottom being a wood floor. And then I brought out my Brown Grey marker to create a shadow under the bowler babes. To finish the card off I took some wood paper to stamp the sentiment on and placed it onto the card.

Stamps: TCP Welcome to the Funny Farm, AI Spare Me
Paper: CTMH White Daisy, BARC Wood White Birch
Ink: CTMH Intense Black, Pacifica, Almond
Accessories: Amazon makeup brush, Fantastix, Copic E31 Brick Beige, Shin Han WG4 Warm Grey, Prismacolor Premier Dahlia Purple, Raspberry, Poppy Red, Metallic Gold, Silver, Light Aqua, Aquamarine, Crimson Red, Crimson Lake, Mulberry, 10% French Grey, 30% French Grey, 70% Cool Grey, 90% Cool Grey , Spectrum Noir Triblend Earth Brown, Brown Grey, Coral, True Blue, Jade Green, Dark Red, Fair Skin

CCEE2016 - Stencils

Today is the 10th day I am participating in The Daily Marker 30 Day Challenge! I have found it to be great motivation to work on my coloring. Have you had a chance to play along?

For this card, I used a We R Memory Stamp Press. It comes with a platform and a plexi sheet to place your stamps on. You can buy extra plexi sheets. Which is what I do. I actually have 2 Stamp Presses and an extra plexi sheet. I took the party hats from one stamp set. But there are only 2 hats. So I started out by attaching the shark stamp onto one of the plexi sheets. Then I put the hats on top of that, and attached them onto another plexi sheet. I did that a couple of times until the party hats were stamped onto a good number of the sharks. For each party hat, I created a paper mask, which was fussy cut. I placed the paper masks on top of the hats and then I stamped the sharks. The group of sharks is an individual stamp.

As for the coloring. The hats were colored with alcohol marker. While the sharks were colored with pencils. Then I blended the sharks out using a Fantastix and baby oil. If you would like to see how I did that please visit here.

Stamps: CTMH Holiday Occasions, Lawn Fawn Peacock Before 'n Afters, Newton's Nook Shark Frenzy
Paper: CTMH White Daisy
Ink: CTMH Intense Black, Tim Holtz Distress Oxide Peacock Feathers
