Clever Bowlers

Howdy!

Today's card is being entered into the following challenges:
Art Impressions Challenge #280 Kid at Heart
Simon Says: Knock On Wood
STAMPlorations April Stencil Challenge
Arty Divas Challenge #20
Lemon Shortbread Challenge #118: Anything Goes

Have you had a chance to play along in The Daily Marker 30 Day Challenge? Today is the 11th day I am participating in challenge! I have found it to be great motivation to work on my coloring.

For today's card I started out by stamping onto both the card base and some ROCK label paper. I then fussy cut the bowler babes from the ROCK label to create a removal paper mask. The coloring was done with a mix of alcohol markers and colored pencils. (You can see the way I blend my colored pencils in THIS video.) When that was done I put the label paper over the babes. I covered the bottom of the card with Post-It tape to create a division between the top of the card and the bottom.  And then I brought out a stencil and Amazon makeup brush to create the background. The bottom was created when I moved the Post-It tape up to where the stenciling had been done. Then I took the Almond ink pad and swiped it along the bottom of the card. After that I then brought out my T-square and a sharpie to draw lines over the swiped area of the card. This creates the illusion of the bottom being a wood floor. And then I brought out my Brown Grey marker to create a shadow under the bowler babes. To finish the card off I took some wood paper to stamp the sentiment on and placed it onto the card.

Today is the 2nd day I am participating in The Daily Marker 30 Day Challenge! I have found it to be great motivation to work on my coloring. Have you had a chance to play along?

For today's card, I started out by creating a mask for the mouse. Then I stamped it onto the card base. Next, I placed the mask on top of the image and stenciled in a scene. When I was done creating the scene, I removed the mask. Next, I noticed that there was a bit of white space, where it wasn't needed. That is why I started by creating the shadow. I then used shimmer brushes to color in the jelly beans. And then, I moved my way into coloring with markers. This is the darkest, I've colored the mice in. Although, I do like it, I wouldn't go so dark again. If you scroll underneath this card picture, you will find a close up of the mouse and jelly beans. That way you will be able to see the sparkle better.

Stamps: House Mouse Designs Jelly Bean Thief, Taylored Expressions Labels of Love II
Paper: CTMH White Daisy
Ink: CTMH Archival Black, Wisteria, Fern

Rainbow Builder Framelits, MFT Grassy Edges), Amy Tangerine Scarlett, MFT Puffy Clouds

Here is a close up of what the mouse and jelly beans look like.

Be a Rainbow

Howdy!

Today's card is being entered into the following challenges:
Always Fun Challenge #156
Through the Craft Room Door Anything Goes Challenge - 31st March 2020
Lil Patch of Crafty Friends C #128

Found out that the 31st of March is National Crayon Day!

First I'd ever heard of it. And as soon as I did, I knew I had to come up with this colorful card. But it did take me a while to put this card together. Because, in the stamp set I have there is only one crayon stamp, so I had to stamp it repeatedly. I also created a mask by stamping and fussy cutting the crayon on Post-It. Then to color it, I used a variety of alcohol markers. Fortunately, this sentiment was only two pieces. Which was far easier after creating the crayon rainbow.

Stamps: TPC Studio I Love School, CTMH Be a Rainbow
Paper: CTMH White Daisy
Ink: CTMH Intense Black
Accessories: Shin Han P83 Lavender, Spectrum Noir Triblend Citrus, Dark Red, Light Green, Orange, True Blue, Lavender

Doggy Birthday Party

Howdy!

Today's card is being entered into the following challenges:
Shopping Our Stash #416 - Happy Birthday!!!
Stamplorations March Stencil Challenge
AAA Cards CAS Game #161 - Along The Edge + optional twist Dogs & Cats
LAWN FAWNATICS CHALLENGE 73 – BIRTHDAY!

This is my 19th day of participating in The Daily Marker 30 Day Challenge. Have you been playing along? I have and it's been great motivation.

For this card I used my We R Stamp Press and Post-It notes. For my Stamp Press, I used 3 clear plates, 1 comes with the Press. And I have 2 of them. You can also buy the clear plates separately. The Post-It notes were turned into masks for all the stamps. You see, I needed the masks to help me create the scene. Also, I needed the masks so I was able to use the homemade stencils to create the grass and balloons on the card. I did stamp the sentiment onto the card while I was setting up the scene. But once the scene was done, I realized that the sentiment was very crooked. So that is why the stamped banner is there. Also, if you happen to have the die cut I used for the banner. I had to alter it a bit as the sentiment was much shorter then the banner and I needed to use it as cover up. Now as for the coloring, that is a mix of alcohol markers and colored pencils. the dog with the bone. Her ears were colored with pencil. The bone and the ball were also colored with pencil. I blended the colors together using baby oil. Baby oil is an easier medium for me to use as it doesn't dry too quickly, unlike denatured alcohol.

Stamps: Lawn Fawn Peacock Before 'n Afters, Critters at the Dog Park, CTMH Sentiments by Melissa Esplin

Fishy Kisses & Birthday Wishes

Howdy!

Today's card is being entered into the following challenges:
Addicted to CAS Challenge #180 - Circle
Cardz 4 Guys Challenge# 240 Something Beginning with 'F'
Shopping Our Stash #416 - Happy Birthday!!!
Stamplorations March Stencil Challenge

This is my 18th day of participating in The Daily Marker 30 Day Challenge. Have you been playing along? I have and it's been great motivation.

For today's card, I began with my homemade stencil. Then I placed the fish in the area where I would be using the stencil. And next I pressed down on my stamp platform and then stamped. I then took off the sentiment stamp and left the fish, placing Post-Its over the cardstock. That way I was able to stamp again and after fussy cutting I was able to make a mask for the fish. Then I brought out my stencil, Amazon makeup brush and ink. And then I colored in the areas of the stencil.

As for the coloring, that is a mixture of various markers and colored pencil. The colored pencil was blended with baby oil.

Stamps: SOL Fish2Stamp, CTMH O-fish-ally Awesome
Paper: CTMH White Daisy
Ink: CTMH Intense Black, Lagoon
Accessories: handmade stencil (Queen & Co Bubbles), Amazon makeup brush, Copic BV04 Blue Berry, Shin Han YR24 Marigold, WG7 Warm Grey, Spectrum Noir Triblend Citrus, Bright Pink, Orange, True Blue, Prismacolor Premier 10% French Grey
