Mousy Poppins

Howdy!

Today's card was made for the House and Friends Monday Challenge #308 Anything Goes With The Option of Add A Tag. It also in being entered in the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge, Anything Goes.

I had a lot of fun creating this card. The first step for this card was to stamp it onto the card panel. Then, I stamped it onto a Post-It note, which was then fussy cut. After I placed the mask back onto the mouse. I then took out my homemade stencil, sponge and ink. And created this fun cloudy scene. After looking at how the card turned out, it reminded me of Mary Poppins. Which is how I came up with the title for this post.

Stamps: House Mouse Designs Umbrella Ride, POPHM51 HM Clear Stamp Set
Paper: CTMH White Daisy
Ink: CTMH Intense Black, Carolina

Floral Postcard

Howdy!

Today's card was created for the Penny Black Saturday Challenge blog. They are looking for new Design Team members. I hope I make it onto the team!

I created this card using the masking technique and heat embossing. I also was able to use my husband's birthday present to me. For my birthday he gave me a full set of Arteza Real Brush Pens! They even came with a traveling bag, so I can take them with me on vacations and crops! I did the heat embossing to try to keep the watercolor colors from straying too far from my stamped image. Also, I left it without a sentiment on the front so I can use it whenever I need to.

I started out this card by stamping one of the rows of flowers onto some Post-It tape. I then fussy cut that out. Then I stamped the image onto the watercolor paper. After which I placed the mask over that image and then used the Postcard stamp. At that point, I realized I wanted the flowers to be fuller. So I left the mask on the first row of flowers. And stamped the second row under that. In the middle of each stamping step, I heat embossed before moving onto the next stamp. You don't need to do the embossing step if you aren't worried about the watercolors spreading.

As for the coloring, I used the red marker. And colored the middle of each flower bud. Then I used my paint brush to spread that out and thin out the color a bit. Once, the flowers were dry. I then moved onto using the green marker to draw a line where the edge of the leaves meets the flowers. I then followed that up by using my paint brush to move the color up to the end of the leaves.

Type A Thanks

Howdy!

Today, I would like to share a card I made for the Paper Smooches Anything Goes Challenge.

It was very fun to make this card. For it I took some book paper. (Yes, I do tear apart books and reuse the pages for my crafty antics.) I also stamped and fussy cut both the typewriter and paper. The typewriter is on cardstock. And the page coming out of the typewriter onto printer paper. The typewriter image has an extra cut so the page could come out of it. For the printer paper, I rolled it onto a marker and popped it up onto some foam mount. You can get a better look of this in the side view picture.

Stamps: Paper Smooches Just A Note
Paper: CTMH White Daisy, Black, Book Paper, Printer Paper
Ink: CTMH Intense Black, Raspberry
Accessories: Xacto Knife

Meant to Sparkle

Howdy!

Today, I would like to share a card I made for the MFT Wednesday Challenge, Sketch 473.

I had fun making this card. As I rarely make shaker cards. And the die cut I used to create the shaker element makes it a breeze. I may create a video tutorial showing off how easy it is to create these shaker cards.

Stamps: MFT Meant to Sparkle
Paper: CTMH White Daisy, 3M Write-on Transparency Film
Ink: CTMH Intense Black, Peacock
Accessories: CTMH Shaker Window die, Darice Sequins Black, Turquoise, CTMH Loose Sequins Silver, Gold

Glitter Heart and Unicorn Farts

Howdy!

Today's card is for the Impression Obsession blog challenge, Love is in the Air!

Stamps: Impression Obsession Rainbow & Unicorns
Paper: Canson Watercolor Cold Press, CTMH Raspberry
Ink: CTMH Intense Black, Raspberry
Accessories: CTMH Gold Glitter Gems

The stamp I used for this card is Rainbows and Unicorns by Impression Obsession. It's one of the funniest Valentine sentiments around. Especially for me and my husband. You see his mom is a scrapbooker and owned one of the local scrapbook stores, back when those were a thing. So he hates glitter because it gets everywhere. But, he doesn't mind if glitter is in something that it cannot get out of, like these glitter gems. I created the heart on this card by doing the ink smooshing technique along with a mask. Shelf liner is what I used to create the heart shape.

Let Go

Howdy!

Today's card is for Simon Says Stamps, Something New challenge.

Stamps: Visible Image Mindful Moments
Paper: CTMH White Daisy
Ink: CTMH Intense Black, Tim Holtz Distress Ink Carved Pumpkin, Candied Apple, Mowed Lawn, Mustard Seed
Accessories: Altenew Sunburst Stencil

The new things I played with is the Visible Image stamp set and the Altenew stencil. I got these around my birthday. Which is in December. As someone whose birthday is in December. It is tough to work on cards or projects that are not Christmas or Winter Holiday related.

A Hui Hou

Howdy!

I used a sketch from Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge #350. Also, this card is for the Rainbow Card Challenge. This week's challenge is Wonderfully White and it is part of their Design Team call.

Stamps: CTMH Aloha Spirit
Paper: CTMH White Daisy, Vellum, 3M Write-on Transparency Film
Ink: CTMH White Daisy
Accessories: Ranger Embossing Powder Princess Gold, CTMH Black & White Dots, Stitched Circles Embossing Folder, MFT Stitched Sentiment Strips Die-namics, Fishtail Flag Stax

It was quite challenging to use only white, especially when it comes to the stamping of a sentiment. Which is why I used the gold embossing powder. It adds a little pop to this white card. Also, I used a bit of non-color by using vellum for the flowers and transparency film.

Sorry You're Sad

Howdy!

I used a sketch from the MFT Blog Wednesday Challenge Sketch 470.

Stamps: CTMH Timeless Textures, Splash of Color, A Birthday in Watercolor, Watercolor Impressions, Strokes of an Artist, Colorful Texture, MFT First Class Friend
Paper: CTMH Kraft
Ink: CTMH Candy Apple, White Daisy, Bluebird, Tim Holtz Distress Ink Vintage Photo, Black Soot
Accessories: Ranger Embossing Powder White, Cuttlebug Arrows

I went for a vintage postal feel to this card. I hope it comes across.

This card is also a sympathy card for my family and loved ones. You see, this weekend my little brother passed. I say little, but, he was actually 39. Although our relationship had it's ups and downs, he was still my brother. And I know his family will miss him.
