May Card Hoppin' 2021

Howdy!

I am so excited to be taking part in today's

Y'all I can't wait to see what everyone has created for the hop! I know there are a lot of YouTube videos taking place.

The Hop List is
Mary Ellen Driggs >>> That's ME!

These cards are from a few of the gel prints I created! I'm hoping to have a video to share with y'all later. The prints y'all are seeing were created from using a heart shaped plate from the Gel Press Petites line. These prints were pulled by way of book paper and printer paper. On 3 of these cards, I used dies to create the heart shapes. I also used dies to help create the sentiments. Two of which have fun foam backing on them. And I used a brayer on all my prints. Although I did use a variety of paints, stencils and other materials to create prints.

Celebrate You

Howdy!

Mary Ellen from Creative Time With ME is here! I have a super cute watercolor slimline card perfect for any occasion!

Stamps: Waffle Flower Succulents
Paper: CTMH White Daisy, Black, Arches Watercolour Cold Pressed
Ink: VersaMark Dazzle Frost
Accessories: Ranger Embossing Powder Vintage Pearl, CTMH Watercolor Paints, Spellbinders About Us, SU! Amazing You, Scrapbookcom Celebrate
  1. This card starts out by cutting some cardstock and watercolor paper into a slimline card.
  2. For me that means we cut the watercolor paper to 3 5/8 x 8 1/2
  3. You do the same for the cardstock with the exception that you set the remaining 7 3/8 x 8 1/2 aside
  4. Now take the 7 3/8 x 8 1/2 cardstock and fold it in half on your scoreboard.
  5. Next, pull out the stamp set.
  6. Create masks for the 3 succulents that you want to use.
  7. Then fussy cut the masks out.
  8. Now take those masks and use them to help you figure out where you want to place the stamps on your card front.
  9. Take your We R Precision Press Advanced and 3 of the stamping plates for it
  10. Use the plates for your stamps.
  11. Bring out your powder tool to clear away areas that might have moisture on them
  12. Stamp apply embossing powder.
  13. Heat up the embossing powder.
  14. Place mask over stamped image.
  15. Repeat until all 3 stamps have been used.
  16. Then flip the card front over and repeat the stamping and embossing steps.
  17. Die cut a sentiment
  18. Place on card front
  19. Glue the card front to the base.
  20. When that is done place The Robin's Nest Dew Drops onto your card.

Cutting Guide

Kraft cardstock cut at 7 3/8 x 8 1/2

White cardstock cut at 3 5/8x 6 7/8

Black cardstock cut at 2 x 1 1/2

Assembly Instructions

  1. Start by stamping the tools from the Nailed It stamp set by Maymay Made It.
  2. Next color the tools with colored pencils.
  3. Once done with coloring, bring out the Baby Oil and Pencil Coloring Tool. Use the tool to soak up the baby oil then use it as a pencil and color over the tools. Set aside until needed.
  4. Move onto the card base. Which is the Kraft cardstock cut at 7 3/8 x 8 1/2. Score the cardstock at 2 1/8 and 7 1/2.
  5. When that part is done. You can now bring out the Salvaged Patina ink and Patina stamp set and stamp all over using the Fiskars Stamp Block Set.
  6. After stamping spray a little water to activate the Oxide ink. Then dry it off with some kitchen towel.
  7. Now move onto the White cardstock which is cut at 3 5/8x 6 7/8. And score it at 1/2 and inch on both sides. Then move the cardstock to the 2 inch mark on the Scoreboard. And score at the 3 1/2 and 4 inch marks. Repeat the is step on the opposite side.
  8. When you are done with that part. Bring out the Crackling Campfire and Weathered Wood  inks. Swink them onto the white cardstock.
  9. Next bring out the Sharpie and T-square. And draw horizontal straight lines.
  10. Then do vertical lines staggering where those lines are. This will help create the illusion of wood paneling.
  11. Now bring back those colored tools and fussy cut them.
  12. After that you will bring the Sharpie out so you can color around the edge of the tools.
  13. When that is done. You will bring out the wood paneling piece and using the Bearly Art Precision Craft Glue attach the tools onto the cardstock piece.
  14. Once the tools are all on the wood paneling piece bring out the Elizabeth Craft Double Sided Adhesive Tape. Place the tape on the ends of the piece which is the 1/2 inch mark on both sides.
  15. Then remove the backing from the adhesive tape and place the panel onto the card base.
  16. Now take the black cardstock and stamp a sentiment using the MISTI and VersaMark Watermark.
  17. Next bring out some white embossing powder and your heat gun and emboss the sentiment.
  18. When that is done bring out the Crop-A-Dile Corner Chomper and use it on all 4 sides of the cardstock.
  19. After that bring out the Brutus Monroe Pigment Ink Alabaster White and a finger dauber. And create a chalkboard looking image
  20. Then attach the cardstock to the front of the gatefold card. But only apply adhesive to one side of the gate piece.
  21. Now use the MISTI stamp Happy Father's Day inside the card using the Best Dad stamp set by Maymay Made It.
  22. Now stamp the front of the card using nail stamps from the Nailed It stamp set by Maymay Made It.
  23. To complete the card stamp with Salvaged Patina ink and Patina stamp set on the front of the card.

Happy Mother's Day Frame

Howdy y'all!

Well Mother's Day is fast approaching! So your girl Mary Ellen from Creative Time With ME is here to help y'all out! I have a wonderful way to decorate a picture frame using The Robin's Nest Dew Drops!

  1. I started out by grabbing a raw wood picture frame.
  2. Next I brought out some Tim Holtz Distress Paint in Ground Espresso
  3.  After placing the paint in my palette. I used a foam brush to apply it to the frame.
  4. When the paint was dry I brought out The Robin's Nest Dew Drops and some Bearly Art Craft Glue.
  5. I then proceeded to glue down one of the small green Dew Drops and 7 red tear drop shaped Dew Drops.
  6. This process continued until all the flowers were on the frame.
  7. Then I brought the green Dew Drops back in and using the small circular and tear drop shaped Dew Drops. I created the look of leaves and  stems for the flowers.
  8. Next in the top and bottom center of the frame I brought out the red heart Dew Drops and gold large circular Dew Drops.
  9. And I proceeded to glue them onto the middle top and bottom portions of the frame.
  10. Once that was all done and dry. I was able to place a picture inside for my mom.
  11. Now it is ready to be a Mother's Day present.

On the Robin's Nest blog you will find a video tutorial of the process.
