Somebunny Loves You

Howdy y'all!

Mary Ellen here from Creative Time With ME! I have an adorable bordering on elegant Easter card to share with you!

  1. I began creating this card by bringing out some white cardstock that had adhesive sheet on the back
  2. Then I brought out my Martha Stewart bunny punch
  3. After punching out about 10+ bunnies I stacked them onto each other
  4. Then I stamped the sentiment onto the card front
  5. Going back to the paper bunnies. I brought out my T-square ruler to help me make sure that my bunny was straight
  6. Next I glued the tear shaped Dew Drops onto the card front to create a heart shape
  7. I then brought out a pen to help create the illusion that the Dew Drops were carrots
  8. Finally I put the second bunny onto the card front
  9. And to finish things off I attached the card front to the base

Sending a Little Magic

Howdy y'all!

Mary Ellen here from Creative Time With ME! I've got a magical shaker card to share with y'all today!

Speaking of magical! I have had a fantastic time being on the Dies R Us Design Team! Did you know that right now they're hosting a Design Team call! Check it out HERE!

I started out by taking some Distress inks and blending on top of my card panel. Then I die cut the panel and the clouds. After that I stamped the unicorn and colored her! As for the sun panel I glued transparency film onto the back. When that was dry I attached foam tape to the back and put Sparkle Blends inside to create a shaker card! And then I used my MISTI to align the shaker front to the card base. To complete the card, I took all the clouds along with the unicorn and sentiment and placed them onto the card!

Stamps: TCP Grab the Unicorn
Paper: CTMH White Daisy, 3M Write-on Transparency Film
Ink: MFT Extreme Black, Tim Holtz Distress Ink Fossilized Amber, Spiced Marmalade, Crackling Campfire

You Rock!

Howdy!

Today over at the Cardz 4 Guys challenge blog. We have a NEW challenge for y'all which is to do a Shaker Card!

For this card, I started out by grabbing some patterned paper from my scraps. Then I die cut a star in the paper. After that I took some foam tape and doubled it up. This way my confetti was able to shake around. I then die cut the sentiment PARTY out of glitter paper and black cardstock. I layered the sentiment pieces on top of each other. And used Liquid Glass adhesive adhere them onto the card. Then I stamped the sentiment YOU ROCK! and glued the cardstock piece onto the transparency film sheet.

Stamps: Divinity Designs LLC Jesus Rocks
Paper: CTMH White Daisy, POW! Gpld Glitter Paper, 3M Write-on Transparency Film
Ink: CTMH Intense Black
Accessories: CTMH Silver Star Confetti, MFT Die-namics Party
Techniques: Shaker Card

Always Today

Howdy!

Today's card is being entered into the following challenges:
My Favorite Things Wednesday Sketch Challenge 483
If You Give a Crafter a Cookie Challenge #139
Crafty Sentiments Designs Anything Goes Challenge
Paperminutes # 635 - Make Someone Happy
Arty Divas Challenge #19
SOS 417: Under the Sun, Moon, and Stars - used supplies from my stash, no new supplies used
Addicted to CAS Challenge #181 - Texture - embossing folder

For today's card, I used an embossing folder for the background. Well mostly, you see this pattern is laid out in landscape mode. While I created my card in portrait mode. So to get the pattern on the bottom, I used my Speedball handle tool. It was able to press the pattern into the remaining part of the cardstock. The sun is made using a die cut. And the rainbow pieces were cut out of my paper trimmer. The sun and rainbow pieces were ink smooshed to create a watercolor look. And the sentiment was stamped on a scrap and then fussy cut to create the banner.

Stamps: MFT Clearly Sentimental About New Beginnings
Paper: CTMH White Daisy, Canson XL Watercolor
Ink: CTMH Archival Black, Clover, Bluebird, Nectarine, Candy Apple, Pansy
Accessories: SU! Cloudy Day embossing folder, Chinatera Cute Weather Symbols

Leave a Little Sparkle

Howdy!

Today's card is being entered into the following challenges:
#SSSIGCHALLENGE - Spring Has Sprung
Color Throwdown #584
Simon Says: Use Some Green
Festive Friday Challenge #FF0054
Wednesday Sketch Challenge - Sketch 480
Stamplorations March Stencil Challenge

I had a lot of fun creating today's card. First, I started out by looking at the sketch and my MFT stamps. Also, I was inspired by a card that a DT member created on My Favorite Things' blog post for this sketch. When I figured out what design I wanted for the card. I then went through my collection of die cuts. For the pot of gold, I did a bit of editing with my scissors when it came to the pot. This included when I put the rainbow inside the pot. Which is why I was thankful that the dies I used for the coins were able to hide a little tear in the black cardstock. To create the cloudy background and the grass. I brought out some of my homemade stencils. The stencils were made by taking some 3M Write-on Transparency sheet. Then I used die cuts to cut the edges, which formed the stencils. For the stamping I used my stamp platform. With the clouds I had to use a bit of less tacky glue to help keep them in place while I stamped. As for the SPARKLE stamp, I stamped that on vellum. So to begin, I used my powder tool as I knew I would be heat embossing. And I didn't want any stray embossing powder on the vellum. When the stamping was done, I poured the embossing powder and then heat it up with my heating gun.

While putting the card together. I realized that the clouds that say WHEREVER and YOU GO needed a bit of separation. So first I took out my pencil and traced around the area where the lowest cloud goes over the middle cloud. Then I brought out my marker and traced over the pencil line. And finally I erased the pencil line. Most of the adhesive was glue for the card. Although for the sun and vellum piece, I used my Xyron. And for the clouds and some of the coins, I used 3M foam tape.

Stamps: MFT Meant to Sparkle
Paper: CTMH White Daisy, Vellum, Black
Ink: Letter it Embossing ink, CTMH Intense Black, Carolina, Green Apple
Accessories: Spectrum Noir Triblend Ice Blue, Ranger Gold Tinsel Embossing Powder, Joy Crafts Clouds, MFT Puffy Clouds, QuicKutz Nesting Circles, Tonic What's Brewing, homemade stencils (MFT Grassy Edges, SU! Rainbow Builder Framelits)

Up in the Clouds

Howdy!

Today's card is being entered into the following challenges:
#SSSIGCHALLENGE - Spring Has Sprung
My Favorite Things Wednesday Sketch Challenge - Sketch 479
Stamplorations March Stencil Challenge

This card uses one of my favorite homemade stencils. To create the cloudy effect on this card, I used my Make Art Stay-tion with that stencil and a part of a round sponge. (I take the round sponge and cut it into sixths.) Once the cloudy background was complete. I die cut some balloons and placed them on the card. For the smaller balloons, I applied glue to the back and for the largest I popped it up with foam tape.

Stamps: MFT First Class Friend
Paper: CTMH White Daisy
Ink: CTMH Intense Black, Crystal Blue
Accessories: Homemade stencil (SU! Rainbow Builder Framelits), MFT Die-namics Balloon STAX, CTMH Celebrate Today Card Workshop, Memory Depot Clear Detail embossing powder

Perfect Companions

Howdy!

Today's card is being entered into the following challenges:
My Favorite Things Sketch 478
My Favorite Things MFT Color Challenge 136
Through the Craft Room Door - Anything Goes
Simon Says: Anything Goes
Southern Girls Challenge ~ Anything Goes
QKR Stampede Challenge #387 - Anything Goes
CARDZ TV ANYTHING GOES CHALLENGE #109

I had fun making this card. I started out by cutting some French Vanilla, Kraft, Sweet Leaf, and Peach down to a A2 size card bases with a top fold. As CTMH only does 12x12 cardstock. That left me with 8 card bases all together, plus some scraps. Then I stamped the sentiment onto a scrap of the French Vanilla. After that I cut the cardstock down to a good size to frame the sentiment. And for this card. Once I was happy with the size of the cardstock that the sentiment was on I then glued that down to a scrap of Peach. And followed up by cutting down that piece of Peach cardstock. Before placing the sentiment on the card. I took 2 Kraft card bases and cut one of them down to a 4.25x5.5 size piece of cardstock. And folded the other card base at the top. Then I brought out the hemp rope and cut a long enough piece so that I could wrap it around the card front 3 times. I secured the rope with washi tape. And then I put foam tape around the bottom of the card front, everywhere except for where the hemp rope was. That way my card wasn't left with a bulge or bump in the front. I then brought out my die cut to create an extra embellishment piece.

Today's card is being entered into the following challenges:
#SSSIGCHALLENGE - Birthday cards
My Favorite Things blog - The Birthday Project - make sure your birthday project card features a heart
Through the Craft Room Door - Anything Goes

I have enjoyed playing with stencils a lot lately. For this card, I stacked a series of sentiments from my stamp set. After stamping, I then put the stencil on top of the card base. I then applied the ink using one of my blending makeup brushes from Amazon. I applied a lighter pressure around the sentiment section and went with more of a heavy hand for the rest.

Paper: CTMH White Daisy
Ink: CTMH Candy Apple, Intense Black

Battle Cancer

Howdy!

This week my uncle lost his battle to cancer. He fought it bravely for 4 years. My (step) Dad was diagnosed shortly after my uncle. And my dad passed away first; in June of 2016. My first dog, Einstein, passed away at the end of that year from the same cancer that killed my dad. And yet my uncle still battled the illness. My youngest cousin, his baby girl, got married in October 2018. At that point my uncle was spending half his week at home and the other half in the hospital. But, this week he couldn't battle anymore.

I'm glad my uncle is no longer in pain. And no longer has to endure the treatment to battle his cancer. It's so hard to believe that there's still no cure for cancer. Other than going through Chemo and radiation.

So when I saw this week's sketch, Wednesday Sketch Challenge - Sketch 477, over at the My Favorite Things blog. There was only one stamp that I thought of using.

I am also entering this card into the Simon Says Stamp Add A Sentiment Challenge.

Stamps: MFT Fight Like a Girl
Paper: CTMH White Daisy, Vellum
Ink: CTMH Intense Black, Heather
