Puppy Love

Howdy!

Today's card is being submitted into the Lawn Fawn blog challenge 70 Which is the Lots of Love Inspiration Board.  I am also entering it into the Simon Says Stamp With Love challenge.

I love today's card. It might be because the dogs in it remind me of my own. Or it may be the rainbow hearts. Either way, I do.

This is a gift my sister-in-law and her husband (the artist) created that helps give an impression of our dogs.

To create this card, I'll start with the watercolor piece. I started that by pulling out my watercolor piece and laying it onto my Make Art Stay-tion. Which let me tell you is one of my favorite pieces in the craftroom. It's as important a tool as my stamp perfect tool, paper trimmer and scissors. I then pulled out my stencil. After setting it up on the stay-tion. I pulled out the inks and ink daubers that you apply to your fingers. After the ink was applied, I then used my water bottle and sprayed.

The next thing I did was to stamp the dogs and color them in. Once that was done, I then fussy cut them out. I also stamped the dogs on the watercolor piece. After I popped the dogs up with foam tape. I then realized they were missing something. Which is when I stamped, colored and fussy cut the ball. And finally I glued the ball onto one of the dogs. The last piece is the sentiment. Which I die cut. Then stamped and applied embossing powder onto. With the embossing powder on, I put the rest back in the bottle. And then I used my heat embossing gun and glued that piece onto the card.

Type A Thanks

Howdy!

Today, I would like to share a card I made for the Paper Smooches Anything Goes Challenge.

It was very fun to make this card. For it I took some book paper. (Yes, I do tear apart books and reuse the pages for my crafty antics.) I also stamped and fussy cut both the typewriter and paper. The typewriter is on cardstock. And the page coming out of the typewriter onto printer paper. The typewriter image has an extra cut so the page could come out of it. For the printer paper, I rolled it onto a marker and popped it up onto some foam mount. You can get a better look of this in the side view picture.

Stamps: Paper Smooches Just A Note
Paper: CTMH White Daisy, Black, Book Paper, Printer Paper
Ink: CTMH Intense Black, Raspberry
Accessories: Xacto Knife

A Hui Hou

Howdy!

I used a sketch from Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge #350. Also, this card is for the Rainbow Card Challenge. This week's challenge is Wonderfully White and it is part of their Design Team call.

Stamps: CTMH Aloha Spirit
Paper: CTMH White Daisy, Vellum, 3M Write-on Transparency Film
Ink: CTMH White Daisy
Accessories: Ranger Embossing Powder Princess Gold, CTMH Black & White Dots, Stitched Circles Embossing Folder, MFT Stitched Sentiment Strips Die-namics, Fishtail Flag Stax

It was quite challenging to use only white, especially when it comes to the stamping of a sentiment. Which is why I used the gold embossing powder. It adds a little pop to this white card. Also, I used a bit of non-color by using vellum for the flowers and transparency film.
