October Rainbow Card Challenge 2020

Howdy!

Today over at the Rainbow Card Challenge Blog. We have a NEW challenge! That is to use Smoky Slate in your monochromatic card.

This is my card for the challenge! What do y'all think?

Stamps: TE Labels of Love II, Art Impressions More Candy
Paper: CTMH White Daisy
Ink: CTMH Intense Black
Accessories: Johnson & Johnson Baby Oil, Dylusions Ink Spray Slate Grey, Prismacolor Premier 70% Warm Grey, 50% Warm Grey, 30% Warm Grey, 90% Warm Grey, Beige, Light Peach, Pink Rose, Carmine Red, Orange, Pumpkin Orange, Recollections Halloween, Fun Flock Plain Ol' Black

For this card, I used a stencil and some ink spray to create the background. And for my cute spider, I stamped her out. Then I colored her in with my colored pencils. Once the coloring was complete. I then blended out the pencils using baby oil and my Fantastix.

As for the embellishment next to my sentiment. I created that too. I used a die cut spider that I have. I also used my Xyron machine twice. By doing this I was able to put the fun flock on easier and to make my spider into a sticker.

A complete list of the supplies is under the picture. The list, contains compensated affiliate links. If you wish to create a similar card. There is no cost to you for using the links. But it does provide funds to help continue this blog.

Supernatural Fan Art

Howdy!

Today over at the Make My Monday challenge blog. We have a NEW challenge it's to Use a Digital Stamp.

For these cards, I printed them out onto Neenah Bright White Premium Cardstock. I get mine from Office Depot. It's not the quality of paper to create a card with but it works great for printing out digital stamps. As for coloring them in, I used my colored pencils and blended with baby oil. Then I fussy cut the images out. As for the backgrounds, I used my stencils and Amazon makeup brushes. The stencils I used didn't fit on the card base. So I used Post-Its to cover up the areas I wasn't stenciling at the time. When the stenciling was done, I used black marker to cover up any areas that didn't look finished after I fussy cut. Then I used 3M foam tape to pop the images up.

Stamps: Kindred Stamps Demon Hunters
Paper: CTMH Kraft
Ink: CTMH Sapphire

You're My Favorite Obsession

Howdy!

Today's cards are being entered into the following challenges:
#Kindred30DayChallenge
#30daysofmixedmediawithana
The Male Room Challenge #133 - Make Me Laugh
Crafty Creations April Challenge (#408) - Anything Goes
Dream In Darkness
A Bit More Time To Craft Challenge #113 - Anything Goes

I have been playing around with quite a few challenges on Instagram. One, is the #30daysofmixedmediawithana, the day 1 challenge is to use Brushos. Another is #Kindred30DayChallenge, day 1 is to use something sparkly. The characters top is sparkly as I used my CTMH Black Shimmer Brush. Also, I added a few sequins, just to make sure the card had a good amount of sparkle.

Have you ever seen the Rocky Horror Picture Show? If not, and you have a quirky sense of humor you would love it. For those of you who have seen it. You know that RHPS has weekend showings around the world. This is of course, back when movie theaters were still open. And in those theaters, there are people performing the movie while it is playing. Back in my early 20's I was a part of our local cast. And I generally played  Janet Weiss, the movies female lead.

For today's card, I stamped out Dr. Frank-N-Furter, onto a scrap of white cardstock. As for the background it is watercolor paper. I ran the watercolor paper inside an embossing folder. Also in the embossing folder I put some Brusho and sprayed water. Then with this combination inside, I ran the embossing folder through my die cut machine. If you've seen the movie you will recall that at the end Dr. Frank-N-Furter is singing on a stage. And the curtain is down at that time. I think that the embossing folder resembles that curtain.

Now back to Dr. Frank-N-Furter, I colored him in with colored pencils. I then fussy cut him out. And then I blended those colors out using baby oil. Finally, I popped him onto the card with the sentiment, I used 3M foam tape. This was so he would be flush with the sequins that I also put onto the card. To finish the character off, I used my shimmer brush, you shake it up first to make sure the glimmer is evenly spread out.

Force You to Love Me

Howdy!

Today over at the Make My Monday challenge blog. We have a NEW challenge it's to Make Your Own Background.

Lil Patch of Crafty Friends C #128
613 Avenue Create Challenge #231 - Anything Goes w/Optional Twist: Use Colored Pencils - baby Yoda was colored with pencils

For today's card, I started out by stamping onto some cardstock. The cardstock had previously run through the Xyron. Then I colored him in with my colored pencils. Followed by blending the coloring in with baby oil. And finally, I fussy cut baby Yoda out.

Next, I took some cardstock and sprayed ink onto it. When I was done with the ink spray, I took out my acrylic paint. With my acrylic paint I also brought out a toothbrush. To create the stars, I put a bit of the acrylic paint on the toothbrush and then rub that against my finger. This creates a spray effect.

Supernatural is one of my favorite shows. And this is the last season it will be on. Also the network that it's on, the CW, has not played a new episode in a month. This is what motivated me to create this card today. Because, I miss my boys.

For this card, I started out by printing the Kindred Stamps Demon Hunters set. You see, this stamp did originally come as a clear stamp. But the shop no longer carries it that way. They do carry that stamp as a digital print. I have a love/hate relationship with digital stamps. Because, you can't grab the stamp. And if you mess up while coloring it take another piece of paper and stamp it again. For me you have to find the right paper and print the stamp set out. Because, I only have 1 printer at the house and we usually keep our printer paper in there. I do keep my stamping paper close by. But the printer is not in my craft room.

I colored each brother with a mix of markers and colored pencils. For the pencils, I blended the color out by using baby oil and Fantastix.

Stamps: Kindred Stamps Demon Hunters, Desert Stamp Shop Supernatural Collection
Paper: CTMH White Daisy
Ink: CTMH Candy Apple, Pebble, Intense Black (inside card)
