November Rainbow Card Challenge

Howdy!

Today over at the Rainbow Card Challenge Blog. We have a NEW challenge! That is to create a Sparkling Sapphire monochromatic card.

For today's card, I heat embossed the sentiment. And then I brought out my Amazon makeup brushes and Tim Holtz inks, along with a spray bottle. After I was satisfied with the result from the blending and spraying with water. I used red line tape to glue the front of the card onto the base. That is because the front panel is a bit flimsy now after all that blending. Then I brought out the enamel dots and scattered them around the card.

Stamps: Visible Image Dare to be Different
Paper: CTMH White Daisy
Ink: Tim Holtz Distress Ink Salty Ocean, Distress Oxide Ink Chipped Sapphire, Faded Jeans, Broken China
Accessories: Eyelet Outlet Enamel Dots, Amazon makeup brush, Memory Depot Clear Detail embossing powder

July Rainbow Card Challenge

Howdy!

Today over at the Rainbow Card Challenge Blog. We have a NEW challenge! That is to create a Tantalizing Tangerine monochromatic card.

For today's card I used a Post-It as a mask for the lipstick. I stamped the lipstick onto the Post-It and then I fussy cut it out. I made sure to cut the lipstick color from the holder. That way, I was able to stamp the lipstick as much as I needed. The tangerine color was easy to stamp. But the black had to stamped a few more times. Then I stamped the sentiment and underline. I like how it looks as though the sentiment is written with lipstick.

Supernatural Fan Art

Howdy!

Today over at the Make My Monday challenge blog. We have a NEW challenge it's to Use a Digital Stamp.

For these cards, I printed them out onto Neenah Bright White Premium Cardstock. I get mine from Office Depot. It's not the quality of paper to create a card with but it works great for printing out digital stamps. As for coloring them in, I used my colored pencils and blended with baby oil. Then I fussy cut the images out. As for the backgrounds, I used my stencils and Amazon makeup brushes. The stencils I used didn't fit on the card base. So I used Post-Its to cover up the areas I wasn't stenciling at the time. When the stenciling was done, I used black marker to cover up any areas that didn't look finished after I fussy cut. Then I used 3M foam tape to pop the images up.

Stamps: Kindred Stamps Demon Hunters
Paper: CTMH Kraft
Ink: CTMH Sapphire
Accessories: Amazon makeup brush, Prismacolor Premier Scarlet Lake, Permanent Red, Deco Peach, Eggshell, Beige, 90% Cool Grey, 90% Warm Grey, Indanthrone Blue, China Blue, Denim Blue, Indigo Blue, Chestnut, Chocolate, Sienna Brown, 20% French Grey, Burnt Ochre, 70% Warm Grey, 70% Cool Grey

You Amaze Me

Howdy!

Today over at the Make My Monday challenge blog. We have a NEW challenge it's to create something Spring Flowers.

I had a lot of fun creating today's card. It's been a bit since I've done triple step stamping. The important trick to this type of stamping is layering your stamps. I use the We R Memory Stamp Press. It comes with a platform and a plexi sheet to place your stamps on. You can buy extra plexi sheets. Which is what I do. I actually have 2 Stamp Presses and an extra plexi sheet.

So I start the process of triple stamping by placing the largest of the layer stamps onto my cardbase. Then I press the plexi sheet on top, which mounts the largest stamp. I then take the medium sized stamp and place it on top of the plexi sheet right where it is set for layering the stamps. Next, I continue the steps for placement until all the stamps are set up.

Today's card is also being entered into the following challenges:
The Paper Girls CHALLENGE /#197 - Florals
Try It On Tuesday Beauty of Nature - Flowers are my favorite part about nature
Wednesday's Creative Inspirations April Challenge - April Showers & Flowers!
The Flower Challenge #43 'Spring/Autumn' - the colors of these flowers remind me of Spring

Stamps: Altenew Painted Rose
Paper: CTMH White Daisy
Ink: Ranger Letter It Embossing Ink Pad, CTMH New England Ivy, Fern, Sweet Leaf, Thistle, Lilac, Pansy

Narwhals at Play

Howdy!

Today over at the Cardz4Guys Challenge Blog. We have a NEW challenge! That is to create a card using the theme #242 On Or Beside the Sea.

Today's card is also being entered into the following challenges

Paperminutes # 635 - Make Someone Happy
Arty Divas Challenge #19
SOS 417: Under the Sun, Moon, and Stars - used supplies that were already in my stash, no new purchases
STAMPlorations April Stencil Challenge

For today's card, I began by doing a little stamp surgery. This cute little narwhal comes with a sentiment attached. So I cut it apart. Then I created the stencil. I used the Avery Elle Waves Die and some junk mail. That's my way of doing my part to recycle. And then before I started stamping onto the cardstock piece, I stamped onto a couple of Post-Its. Then I fussy cut the narwhals out, those creating a mask. Next, I stamped onto the cardstock. When I was done stamping, I put the masks on top of both of the narwhals and then brought out the homemade stencil. I applied the ink by using a makeup brush.

Then I moved onto coloring the narwhals. For that I used my alcohol marker and colored pencils. The pencils were used for the horn and the color was blended using my Fantastix and baby oil.

Stamps: SU! Quirky Critters
Paper: CTMH White Daisy
Ink: CTMH Intense Black, Tim Holtz Distress Ink Salty Ocean
Accessories: Spectrum Noir Triblend Ice Grey, Prismacolor Premier Cream, Peach Beige, Fantastix, homemade stencil (Avery Elle Waves Die), Amazon makeup brush

Howdy!

Today over at the Make My Monday challenge blog. We have a NEW challenge it's to Make Your Own Background.

Today's card is also being entered into the following challenges:

Lil Patch of Crafty Friends C #128
613 Avenue Create Challenge #231 - Anything Goes w/Optional Twist: Use Colored Pencils - baby Yoda was colored with pencils

For today's card, I started out by stamping onto some cardstock. The cardstock had previously run through the Xyron. Then I colored him in with my colored pencils. Followed by blending the coloring in with baby oil. And finally, I fussy cut baby Yoda out.

Next, I took some cardstock and sprayed ink onto it. When I was done with the ink spray, I took out my acrylic paint. With my acrylic paint I also brought out a toothbrush. To create the stars, I put a bit of the acrylic paint on the toothbrush and then rub that against my finger. This creates a spray effect.

Stamps: KS Chickie Nuggies
Paper: CTMH White Daisy
Ink: CTMH Archival Black

Tropical Seashell

Howdy!

Today over at the Make My Monday challenge blog. We have a NEW challenge it's to create something Tropical.

Today's card is also being entered into the following challenges:
Challenge #3 - Anything Goes Mixed Media Creative Challenge at We Love 2 Create at Polkadoodles
Lil Patch of Crafty Friends Challenge C #128
Dare 2B Artzy March Challenge: Anything Goes

Hope y'all have a chance to play along with us!

For today's card, I started out by grabbing some watercolor paper. I stamped the image down with embossing ink. Then I applied the Blush Pearl embossing powder and heat embossing. I prefer to heat emboss whenever I play with watercolor techniques and stamping. The darker areas on the seashell are where I colored with the real brush pen. And then I used my water brush to spread the color out. The sentiment was die cut out of some papers from my scrap pile. Before die cutting the word. I ran the cardstock through my Xyron. That is because when it comes to intricate or detailed die cuts. I prefer to have them already be sticky, rather than applying adhesive to the back. Then I put the card together, by gluing the watercolor paper to my card base. Next, I brought out some hemp twine. And to curl the twine, I wrapped it around my water brush.

The seashell is my day 15 coloring. I have been playing along with The Daily Marker 30 Day Challenge. Have you? I would have to say  it's been great motivation.

Stamps: CTMH Shell Sentiments
Paper: CTMH White Daisy, Canson Watercolor XL
Ink: Ranger Letter It Embossing Ink Pad
Accessories: Lil' Inker Designs Hawaiian Words, Arteza Real Brush Pens Peony Pink, water brush, Ranger Embossing Powder Blush Pearl

March Rainbow Card Challenge 2020

Howdy!

Today over at the Rainbow Card Challenge Blog. We have a NEW challenge for the month! Hope y'all get a chance to play along with us!

This is my card for the challenge! What do you think?

Stamps: MFT Game Night, Studio G
Paper: CTMH White Daisy, Emerald, Vellum
Ink: CTMH Intense Black, Emerald
Accessories: Ranger Embossing Powder Clear, Wagner Heat Embossing Gun, Sweet Sugarbelle Cookie Stencils, Amazon makeup brush, Xyron

For this card, I brought out my stencil and used a makeup brush to help apply the ink onto the cardstock. (Also, as the stencil I used is a food grade stencil. You can either use it in the kitchen or the craft room. But once you use it in the craft room you can't use it in the kitchen.) I then trimmed that cardstock piece down to size. As for the sentiments, I stamped them onto the vellum. I then applied embossing powder and used my heat gun. Afterwards, I then trimmed them down using a paper trimmer. For the adhesive, I used my Xyron.

I am also entering this card into the following challenges:

Handmade Love

Howdy!

I created today's card for the Paper Smooches blog. The challenge this week is Anything Goes. It is also a way to enter the Design Team call.

I love this card as it reminds me of when I was a girl. Back then I did a lot of cross stitching. And a bit of small hand sewing projects. My mother taught me to do those types of projects. As back in her home country of the Philippines, she was a seamstress. Although, she doesn't know how to use a sewing machine, but she can do many sewing projects by hand. In fact, she tailored my wedding dress train by hand.

Stamps: Paper Smooches In Stitches
Paper: CTMH White Daisy
Ink: CTMH Ruby, CTMH Ballerina
Accessories: Offray Spool O' Ribbon

If you wish to create a similar card. I have included compensated affiliate links in the detailed list of supplies. There is no cost to you for using the links. But does provide funds to help continue this blog.
