Today is the 5th day I am participating in The Daily Marker 30 Day Challenge! I have found it to be great motivation to work on my coloring. Have you had a chance to play along?

For this card, I started out by stamping the girlie on the bench. I stamped her on both the card base and a Post-It. Then I took the Post-It and turned it into a paper mask by fussy cutting the girlie out. Since the stamped image is so intricate the parts I actually cut were her, with the donuts and book. The rest of the image didn't have a mask. I put the mask over the stamped image, and then built the rest of the image on top of it. That way she looks like she's in the foreground. She is colored using colored pencils. For the sentiment, I partially die cut it. To add a bit of interest, I drew blue lines on the sentiment piece and then popped the other clouds on top.  The extra clouds act as a cover up.

  8. Yay, another card using these stamps!! Have never seen them before and just love the sketchy look of the arms and neck etc. You've done another perfect job with your masking and well done fussy cutting her out. A fabulous scene and suits the challenge theme to a tea. So happy to see you again at TIME OUT!
