Gem Of A Challenge Week 8 Anything Goes Craft & Card Making Challenge

Today is the 4th day I am participating in The Daily Marker 30 Day Challenge! I have found it to be great motivation to work on my coloring. Have you had a chance to play along?

For this card, I started out by stamping the girlie with her books. I stamped her on both the card base and a Post-It. Then I took the Post-It and turned it into a paper mask by fussy cutting the girlie out. I also cut out the books. I put the mask over the stamped image. And then I built the background on top of it. When I removed the paper mask it looks like she's standing in front of the tree and clouds. I used colored pencils on her. For the sentiment, I die cut it. To add a bit of interest, I drew blue lines on the sentiment piece and then popped the other clouds on top.  The extra clouds act as a cover up.
