I want to thank all the people on the front line. The doctors and nurses. The firemen and police. All the branches of the military. And all the unsung heroes, who are making sure we can gas up our cars, our vehicles work. Those how are there so we can buy groceries, and do the things that we take for granted everyday.

For today's card, I used my Stamp Perfect Platform and a variety of inks to create this card. I kept the heart in the same spot starting from the yellow ink down to the purple. And moved it up for the orange and the red. The ink I used for the sentiment stamp is one of my favorites. Unfortunately, I have not been able to find a refill bottle for the ink pad. So sadly, when it's gone, it'll be gone.

The cards for today use the stamp set that I won from Miss Inks Stamps, Instagram hop. I had so much fun playing with this stamp set. It's called Dee and Dum.

For this first card, I used a stencil and some ink colors. I also stamped the sentiment and then die cut it out. Then I glued the stenciled scrap onto the card base. And then popped the sentiment with 3M foam tape on top and to the bottom right.

Paper: CTMH White Daisy, Pixie
Ink: CTMH Intense Black, Candy Apple, Willow
Accessories: MFT Stitched Sentiment Strips Die-namics, Dylusions Bowl of Cherries stencil, Amazon makeup brush

For this second card, I stamped the boys and sentiment onto a cardstock piece. After that I colored the boys in using colored pencils. Then I blended the colors together using baby oil and a Fantastix stick. And then I used my marker to create a shadow for the boys. When that was done, I glued the piece onto the card base.

There is a third card that I made but it will be shared later on a design team blog post.

You're My Favorite Obsession

Howdy!

Today's cards are being entered into the following challenges:
#Kindred30DayChallenge
#30daysofmixedmediawithana
The Male Room Challenge #133 - Make Me Laugh
Crafty Creations April Challenge (#408) - Anything Goes
Dream In Darkness
A Bit More Time To Craft Challenge #113 - Anything Goes

I have been playing around with quite a few challenges on Instagram. One, is the #30daysofmixedmediawithana, the day 1 challenge is to use Brushos. Another is #Kindred30DayChallenge, day 1 is to use something sparkly. The characters top is sparkly as I used my CTMH Black Shimmer Brush. Also, I added a few sequins, just to make sure the card had a good amount of sparkle.

Have you ever seen the Rocky Horror Picture Show? If not, and you have a quirky sense of humor you would love it. For those of you who have seen it. You know that RHPS has weekend showings around the world. This is of course, back when movie theaters were still open. And in those theaters, there are people performing the movie while it is playing. Back in my early 20's I was a part of our local cast. And I generally played  Janet Weiss, the movies female lead.

For today's card, I stamped out Dr. Frank-N-Furter, onto a scrap of white cardstock. As for the background it is watercolor paper. I ran the watercolor paper inside an embossing folder. Also in the embossing folder I put some Brusho and sprayed water. Then with this combination inside, I ran the embossing folder through my die cut machine. If you've seen the movie you will recall that at the end Dr. Frank-N-Furter is singing on a stage. And the curtain is down at that time. I think that the embossing folder resembles that curtain.

Now back to Dr. Frank-N-Furter, I colored him in with colored pencils. I then fussy cut him out. And then I blended those colors out using baby oil. Finally, I popped him onto the card with the sentiment, I used 3M foam tape. This was so he would be flush with the sequins that I also put onto the card. To finish the character off, I used my shimmer brush, you shake it up first to make sure the glimmer is evenly spread out.

Welcome everyone! It’s the start of a new month which means it’s time for a new challenge with Gina K Designs! We’d love for you to play along with us! The challenge this month is Spring Fling! All you need to do is create a project using Gina K Designs products with the theme Spring in mind.

The colors of these flowers make me think of Spring.

I have been playing around with quite a few challenges on Instagram. One, is the #3xcardchallenge, where you are challenged to make at least 3 cards using a single stamp set. Another is #30daycardmaking, the day 1 challenge is to make A Simple Thank You. And the third is #30daysofmixedmediawithana, the day 2 challenge is to use Crayons.

For these cards, I used watercolor paper as the card front. Then I brought out my distress crayons. I colored the crayons over the rubber stamp. Next, I sprayed the stamp with water. And finally, I stamped onto the card front. After stamping the flowers, I then stamped a sentiment beside the flower.
