Little Twinkle Toes

Howdy!

Today's card is being entered into the following challenges:
Simon Says: Something Feminine
The Library Challenge 54 - Ballet Shoes
HMFMC # 311 Anything Goes with the option of Embossing wet or dry.

One of my favourite children's books, I read it again and again.

This month I have been playing along with The Daily Marker 30 Day Challenge. And this mouse is my Day 8 project.

To create this card I used both heat embossing and an embossing folder. I started by stamping my mouse and then heat embossed her. I did this way so it would be easier to use both the Arteza Real Brush Pens and my water brush. Once the ballerina mouse was done. I brought out my Post-It mask so that I could do the ink smooshing. (I had previously created a card with this ballerina and saved the Post-It mask from that. Below this post you will see some labels and if you click on the ballerina one, you will find that card. Also, if you click on my YouTube icon to the right of this post you will find my ink smooshing video.)  Once the area with my ballerina mouse looked complete, I brought out my die cut and cut out the circle. I then brought out a cardstock sheet for use with my embossing folder. After the embossing. I ran the cardstock through my Xyron, so that I had adhesive applied in all the little nooks and crannies. Then I brought out a scrap of white and stamped the sentiment out. Following that I die cut it. And then I remembered that I still had the little heart die available. (When I created the Happy Birthday Gifts post, I used this die cut. It had both the inner heart and an outline heart. For this card, I used the outline.)

  3. This reminds me of the movie with Meg Ryan and Tom Hanks called "You've Got Mail" and she references that book. This little House Mouse in her tutu is too too cute. It's a sweet card.
