Lighthouse Holidays

Howdy!

I created today's card for the Impression Obsession blog challenge. Which is to create Quick and Easy Holiday cards. The stamp that I used is Currituck Lighhouse from Impression Obsession and can be found HERE.

Stamps: Impression Obsession Currituck Lighthouse, CTMH Reindeer Crossing
Paper: CTMH White Daisy
Ink: CTMH Pewter, White Daisy, Tim Holtz Distress Ink Mermaid Lagoon, Seedless Preserves
Accessories: M. Graham & Co Acrylic Titanium White, Ranger Embossing Powder White, Blending Brushes

For this card, I stamped the image three times. One stamped image was on white cardstock and the other two were for masks. Of the masks, one was a mask of the moon and the other was a mask of everything above the tree line. After I set aside the mask of everything above the tree line. I took the cardstock piece and applied the moon mask. Then, I used my blending makeup brushes and applied distress ink. Once, I was happy with how that turned out. I then put the cardstock piece back into my stamping platform and then put the mask on top of it. Again, I stamped the lighthouse. But this time the ink was only on the tree line. I removed the mask and then took some white embossing powder and placed it over the inky bits. At this point, I heat embossed the powder onto the stamp.

I then took out my white ink pad, white acrylic paint, toothbrush, and water bottle. Then, I placed the cardstock piece into my spray box. And set to work on applying the ink and acrylic paint using the toothbrush. For this, I start out by spraying water onto the brush first. Then apply a white medium onto the brush. Next, I take the bristles and brush them over my finger to create a spray that goes over the cardstock. The first medium I applied was the ink. I then repeated the process, using the acrylic paint.

A complete list of the supplies is under the picture.

Except for the Currituck Lighhouse from Impression Obsession and can be found HERE.
