Rainbow Aurora Borealis

Howdy!

I created today's card for the Paper Smooches and Rainbow Card Challenge blogs. The challenge over at Paper Smooches is Anything Goes. And the challenge over at Rainbow Card Challenge is Royal Rainbow. Both of these challenges are Design Team calls.

Stamps: Paper Smooches Chilly Chums
Paper: CTMH White Daisy
Ink: CTMH Intense Black, Tim Holtz Distress Oxide Picked Raspberry, Spiced Marmalade, Fossilized Amber, Twisted Citron, Seedless Preserves, Peacock Feathers, CTMH White Daisy
Accessories: Dylusions Ink Spray Black Marble, CM Decorative Trimmer, QuicKutz Conversation Bubble, Spectrum Noir Tri-Blend Ice Grey Blend, Stampin' Up Seaside embossing folder, Duorime makeup brushes

For my rainbow, I tried to emulate the aurora borealis. What do y'all think?

The colors I blended together are a variety of Tim Holtz Distressed Oxide Inks. For a complete list please refer to the detailed list of supplies. The list, contains compensated affiliate links. If you wish to create a similar card. There is no cost to you for using the links. But it does provide funds to help continue this blog.

For the blending, I used blending/makeup brushes. Once, that was complete. I then sprayed the card front with water, to get the oxide effect. And then I splattered the front with some White Daisy ink. To finish up the look of the sky, I sprayed some Dylusions ink spray.

As for the ground, I took a piece of White Daisy cardstock and used an embossing folder. The look reminds me of snow banks. All that it needed after that was the cute seal stamp and sentiment from Paper Smooches.

Thank you for stopping by!

Happy Crafting,
M.E.
